<p>UK land area by purpose. About 70% is devoted to agriculture, mainly livestock and livestock feed and pasture. The right-hand side of the chart, using the same scale, shows how much land is used overseas to produce food for the UK. About half of the total land use takes place overseas. The combined land area for rearing beef and lamb for UK consumption is larger than the UK itself. This is the landing page for the work-in-progress research notes (aka _knowledge garden_) by [Stanislav Roudavski](https://unimelb.academia.edu/StanislavRoudavski) and [Deep Design Lab](https://wiki.deepdesignlab.online/).

## Focus

The connecting theme of this repository is designing **for** and **with** human and nonhuman beings such as animals, plants and microorganisms but also hills, rivers, celestial bodies, and intelligent machines.
