<li>etc.</li>
</ul>
<p>Most independent life forms are:</p>
<ul>
<li>cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) because they can both photosynthesize and capture their own nitrogen</li>
<li>archaea because they get energy and materials from hydrothermal vents</li>
<li>not humans, animals, plants, etc.</li>
</ul>

The connecting theme of this repository is designing **for** and **with** human and nonhuman beings such as animals, plants and microorganisms but also hills, rivers, celestial bodies, and intelligent machines.
