Disability

This note is about the concept of disability.

Sometimes called 'crip theory'.

This is relevant to the notions of more-than-human Justice and Participation.

James I. Charlton, Nothing About Us Without Us: Disability Oppression and Empowerment (Berkeley: University of California Press, 2000).

Elizabeth Barnes, The Minority Body: A Theory of Disability (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2016).

There is an argument that to be physically disabled is not to have a defective body, but to have a minority body.

By extension, argue that to be a nonhuman living being is not to be inferior but to have another body.
