How to Take Notes for Work - Note-taking Tutorial for Professionals

Before the meeting

  • send reminder
  • review relevant materials
  • prepare the goals for the meeting, what do you want to get out of the meeting
  • prepare an agenda

During the meeting

  • summary of the last meeting, if any
  • overview the agenda
  • take notes (general notes, notes related to the goals of the meeting, todo notes for all relevant parties)
  • confirm the key points at the end of the meeting based on the notes
  • make the next meeting
