General Principles

Establish the unique primary interest point. Ensure that you express this point via moving images.

Write the script, plan to do a voiceover.

Avoid captions and do not use subtitle-like captions. Aim to involve the viewer in the experience. The captions are a formal device that distracts from the quality of the images.

Do not use music, especially melodic, narrative or dramatic music unless music is one part of the experience you are aiming to depict. Instead, consider using relevant soundscapes that capture the actions your portray. If you feel that you need to link your shots with a soundscape, consider abstract, ambient sound with no traditional instruments or human voices. Generative, noise-like music is the best.

Identify key assets in an asset library.

Prepare a storyboard with suggested timing.

Use 1920x1080 resolution @ 60 frames per second to avoid stutter at panning and rotating shots.

Make sure to colour-correct all footage after editing.

Ensure no compression artefacts or excessive grain is visible.
